Rev. Walter V. Grant is a Dallas-based pastor, evangelist, missionary vocalist and humanitarian.

He has authored 52 books, recorded 27 singing C.D.’s and produced thousands of teaching tapes and C. D. sets.

He is best known as a healing evangelist, and for being on television coast to coast.He has pastored Eagles Nest Cathedral (8045 East Interstate 30) in Dallas since 1983, and can be found there ministering every Sunday

His ministry has not been without controversy, with his distractors claiming that the thousands of healings are not possible.However, Rev. Grant has stood by his claim that God is not limited, and that he has thousands of documented testimonies of supernatural miracles.

He has ministered in the largest auditoriums, convention centers, coliseums in the U. S., some of his Healing Crusades lasting 21 weeks (Richmond, Va.), 25 weeks (San Antonio, Texas), 18 weeks (Knoxville, Tennessee), and 19 weeks (Atlanta Ga.), and recently 5 weeks in Los Angeles, California.

He is credited with coining the phrase "uncrippled" and "I couldnt heal a fly with a headache".

He is a second generation Faith Minister; his father, Rev. W. V. Grant, Sr. (who authored more books than any man who ever lived), was one of the founders (with Gordon Lindsay. of The Voice of Healing in 1948, out of which came A.A. Alen, Jack Coe, Alton Hayes, T.L. Osborn, Morris Cerullo, etc.

Grant Jr. started in the ministry in 1970, pasturing in Toledo Ohio until 1974, and then founding and pasturing Cathedral of Compassion in Cincinnati for 10 years, before moving to Dallas in late 1983.In 1987, he bought 29 acres of property in Southwest Dallas next to Dallas Baptist University, and built a 5000 seat, 85,000 sq. foot mega church and named it Eagle's Nest Cathedral

After pastoring in that location for 8 years, he gave up the church, and moved to his current location. The church he built in 1987 is now called The Potter's House and is pastored by Rev. T.D. Jakes.

He holds earned degrees from Dallas Baptist University, including a Masters in History, and an honorary doctorate from Kingsway Bible University in Des Moines Iowa.

He is noted for his missionary endeavors, mostly in Haiti, Nigeria, and Mexico He ministers in U. S. revivals 275+ nights per year, can be seen on several U. S. networks each week (the Word Network, and Global Broadcasting, etc.)

His unusual healing ministry and life has been featured on Prime Time Live, Hard Copy, Inside Edition, and many other news programs, as hundreds come out of wheelchairs, off their canes and crutches, etc. He is one of the last remaining ministers of his era, making huge altar calls for salvation in every church service in which he ministers.

His is married to Brenda Gayle (Hayes), the eldest daughter of Rev. Alton Hayes (also an early Voice of Healing healing evangelist).They live in Dallas, Texas, and have three children and three grandchildren.
